Is the the famous herbe à chat? I’ve heard of it! They certainly seem to like it. Strange!

did you know there’s a giant version of this plant, grows to about 5ft in height.

Nooo?! Might be dangerous if the cats climb up and then get high!

It is!
Cats can have various reactions to it. Some won’t bother with it. Tantrum and Kaos tend to roll around. Mischief as well, but he also dribbles, and when I say dribbles, it not just a little, I had to wipe the floor after him. Gypsy is either not attracted or starts growling and being aggressive (although I’m not sure if it was because of the catnip or because the little ones were around).
There are also a few cats from the neighbourhood who come to my garden for their sniff and it makes one of them sneeze!

I love the photographs you captured of your darling kitty and his pleasure…rather reminds me of how I might look should someone give me a box of chocolates.

I hope you don’t roll in the chocolates!

I’ve got some catnip in my yard but the neighborhood cats keep flattening it so I haven’t had the chance to bring any in for my own cats! You sure made your kitty happy.

Same here, the neighbourhood cats come to visit. But I actually think it’s Tantrum who goes to roll on it. However, the plant is strong now and seems to resist…

Caught in the act, lol! Do you dry the catnip, and if so, do you use all of it or just the leaves? My plants have come on pretty well since I planted them in pots (and kept them out of paws’ reach of certain cats).

I try to dry the catnip, but I’m not very good at it. I use it all as the stems contain even more of the scent. I want to make little bags with catnip inside for them.
